These apple nachos are perfect for when you need a sweet treat in a pinch. They totally satisfy your sweet tooth, and are packed with fiber and protein to balance out the sugar.
These come together in 20 minutes tops, and you can always feel free to play around with the toppings. Some other great additions to this are granola, honey, or yogurt. Beware - they are seriously addictive!
Servings: 1-2 people
Ingredients:
1 large apple, I like Pink Lady best
2 Tbsp dark chocolate chips
2 Tbsp almond butter (peanut or any nut butter works great)
1 Tbsp shredded coconut
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Directions:
Cut your apple into thin slices and arrange them flat on a large plate.
Place your dark chocolate into the microwave and heat on 30 second intervals until fully melted, stirring in between.
Drizzle your almond butter generously across the apple slices, followed by the melted dark chocolate.
Top with shredded coconut and cinnamon.
Place in the freezer for 10-15 minutes, or until the chocolate has hardened. Enjoy immediately!
